For their 55th anniversary celebration, StartCare partnered with Hudson & Nine to relaunch and reinvent their annual gala and fundraising strategy . Our team designed and executed a fresh modern gala concept and transformed a whitebox venue into a stunning, immersive event that uniquely honored the history of this important healthcare organization, while engaging donors in new and meaningful ways. Hosted at Lavan Midtown the modern execution featured design forward furnishings, dramatic lighting and custom motion graphics experience with surround projection. The branded 360 content served as primary theme decor and an educational journey, highlighting sponsors and displaying the timeline of StartCare’s most important milestones. Guests enjoyed a 90 min elevated cocktail reception with interactive food stations by Thomas Preti, followed by an engaging speaker program rich with inspiring history and future plans. The gala honored distinguished guests, including NYC Council Speaker Adrienne Adams; Richard R. Buery, Jr., CEO of Robin Hood; and Latham Thomas, Founder of Mama Glow. The event celebrated StartCare’s 55-year legacy while addressing the current crisis affecting Black and Brown people and discussing potential paths forward.
